Instagram Update Novelty: Instagram Video
Did you notice a new organisation of your Instagram recently? With the last Instagram update, the IGTV tab disappeared! IGTV, feed videos and lives are now combined inside a new tab: Instagram Video.
Videos that were previously IGTV are still classified as “series”. A little omission for me is that other Instagram Videos can not -yet?- be classified into series.
Instagram Video allows users to browse directly all videos created by a creator … apart from the Reels.
What about the Reel?
Did you notice Reels are the only ones that do not appear inside the Instagram Video tab? Instagram really wants to push the Reel with this new update and still dedicate a tab for them.

Instagram Stories Stickers: Link for everyone
Since October 29, you can add a link in your stories, no matters if you have a verified account or not!
To do so, go to create story, click on stickers and find the Link sticker. Then, you just have to add the link address.
Instagram Update for the Feed:Longer Videos
Videos posted on your Instagram Feed can now be up to 60 minutes long with this new Instagram update! The app has also developed advanced features for video creators such as :

Since last week, 3 New Reel Effects are available on Instagram, and they are related to music!
Superbeat Reel Effect
The Superbeat effect adapts to the music beat and I really love it! You can choose several options:

Dynamic Lyrics Reel Effect
The Dynamic effect is related to karaoke. You will have 3 options according to how you would like the lyrics to appear:

The 3D lyrics effects is also related to karaoke, the lyrics will appear in 3D with different shapes:

New Instagram Account Status
Instagram is testing the “Account Status” feature to alert users when their account is close to being suspended.
Account Status came as an idea following the outage that affected Facebook apps earlier in October, to reassure users. Before seeing your Instagram account banned, you will receive notifications and can check your status by going to Settings > Account > Account Status.
IG Live Scheduling
Thanks to the Live Creation, users can now forecast a Live session until 90 days in advance. Instagram even created new Story stickers and a feed post to use as reminders.
To Schedule a Live in advance, go to + > Live > Schedule. You will have to choose a title for your Live as well as the starting time. Then, to share the Live as a post, choose a cover from your camera roll. I recommend you to prepare a design in advance because this cover will be shared as a post on your Instagram Feed.
Like a normal post, you have to write a text, add hashtags, tag people and places.
Once you post is shared, you can see the little agenda icon on it and your followers can click to check the starting time of your Live session.
60 Seconds Stories Instagram Update
Until now, Instagram Stories were segmented in 15 seconds segments. The app made it longer last week, allowing now to share up-to 60 seconds stories!
Instagram Update for Posts and Reels: Collabs
Instagram just initiated Collabs, a new tool to display a collaborator to your Posts or Reels. The name of the creator and his/her collaborator will be screened at a top of a Post, or the bottom of a Reel.
To add a collaborator, simply go on the tagging options of your Post/Reel and choose « invite collaborator« . The collaborator can, like the creator, share the creation in its own Instagram account.

Instagram added this month 3 more metrics to the Insights tool:

Engaged Audience: An Instagram Update for Non-followers
Demographics data related to the audience, regardless if they are followers or not. This metric can help understand what kind of people are interacting with your content to better convert them.

Demographics insights over a period of time. Before, you only had access to your current audience data.

Accounts interactions over a period of time.
Create a Post from a Computer
Instagram just made it possible to create a post from the browser version of the app (meaning from your search engine: Google, Safari, etc…). It means that you do not necessarily need your phone to share a post, and you can now do it from your computer!
