More SkatePark, A Fun Place Where To Skate InDoor In Shanghai

About The Place: More Skatepark

More SkatePark is an indoor skatepark in Shanghai perfect for all level of skaters. Opened in 2020, it is actually the biggest indoor skatepark in Shanghai. This is definitely the place where you can find happiness. More Skatepark has ramps, halfpipes, bowls, rails, etc… of several sizes.

There, you can either skateboard, or rollerskates.

What to bring to More Skatepark?

More Skatepark is obviously a Skatepark, and that means in contrary to bars like the RIINK where the place provides the equipment (article coming soon about RIINK btw), you should bring your own stuff.

You should thus come there with your own skateboard or rollerskates, and your own protections.

GOOD TO KNOW

It is also possible to borrow skateboards from More Skatepark, if they are some still available when you get there.

I personally recommend you to bring your own, even if you have to buy one. Indeed, you do need a board that fits your size, weight, level and style of skatting.

However, More Skatepark doesn’t have rollerskates at all.

Deep Diving in More SkatePark

  • A Common Room where you can buy water and soft drinks
  • Cases where put your personal belongings (no locker, you just put your bag and jacket on open cases so be careful about what you bring there)
  • A training room where you can practice on a small halfpipe with a rope
  • The huge main skatepark with 2 bowls, several ramps and trails, 3 huge slopes, the amazing foam cubes pool, a dozen of halpipes of several sizes, and much more!

Why is it the perfect place for beginner and improving?

The Training Room

What I found incredibly smart about More SkatePark is the training room. It is a little room where you can find a trampoline (ok, there is no link here, but good to know about it!), and a small halfpipe with a rope.

Beginners can simply try to go up and down holding the rope. It is the perfect way to get confidence on halfpipes, or even to have fun imitating Tarzan 😉 .

Different Levels of Modules

As previously mentioned, you have plenty of different modules at More SkatePark, all of different size. Beginners can just try the smallest ones, while people who use to skate can try several of them.

I have been rollerskating since I am 10 years-old, and I can testify that I did not even try all of the modules. I was not super confident after having stopped ridding for 5 years. So even the most experienced one can have fun there!

Why is it the perfect place to have fun indoor?

Enjoying together

Usually, when I select a skatepark to go with my friends, there is always this « level » problem. I need high halfpipes to enjoy, but most of my friends are beginners who are still improving.

So, I usually need to choose between either having good times with friends or enjoying ridding at my level.

At More Skatepark, you don’t have this problem. You can practice at different levels in the same place, and bring friends from different skating levels to enjoy together.

The Foam Cubes Pool

This is honestly the best part of More Skatepark. There is a huge foam cubes pool at the middle of the park where you can jump in from different slopes.

3 slopes of different highs are fronting the colorful pool. After going down the slope, you are getting to a curve at high speed and … plouf! jump into the pool.

It does not hurt at all and this is freaking funny. My friend Catherine who is practicing rollerskating since a year now can do it with confidence.

When are you up to try this amazing jump? Leave your thoughts in comments, I may join ! My WeChat: Sarahcey
